Mrs. Annie Eliza Mason, wife of Thomas L. Mason, died at her home 203 High Street at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the effects of a broken hip, suffered in a fall about a week ago. Deceased was born March 5, 1855 in Montgomery County, daughter of BUrl and Ellen McCormick. She was married to Thomas L. Mason June 23, 1878. Two sons born to this union died in infancy and a third child, a daughter, Clara E. Mason died May 2, 1902 at the age of 19 years. Mrs. Mason was a member of the Christian Church at Young's Chapel. She is survived by her husband and 7 children: two sons and 5 daughters. They are: Everett and Walter Mason, Mrs. Will Wilkinson, Mrs. Estella Fyfee, Mrs. Clifford Jackson of near Crawfordsville; Mrs. Levi Thomas of New Richmond; and Helen Mason at home. Three sisters, Mrs. Frank Mason; Mrs. Rose Buchanan and Mrs. Milt Wilkinson; 11 grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces also survive. The funeral will be held from the home on Tuesday afternoonat 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Ora McDaniel in charge. Interment will be made at Oak Hill Cemetery. -- kbz

Anna Eliza Mason, daughter of Burel and Ellen McCormack, was born March 5, 1855. She was married to Thomas L. Mason June 22, 1878. She united with the church at Mt. Tabor and later placed her membership in the Christian Church of Young's Chapel. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Mears and brother, Newt McCormack; two sons who died in infancy and a daughter, Clara who died May 6, 1902 at the age of 19 years. She was loved and respected by all who knew her for she had a sweet and unselfish disposition. She fell and broke her hip the morning after Thanksgiving and was a great sufferer during her illness. All that loving hands could do was done but her life gradually slipped from her and in the twilight evening of December 5 she quietly and peaceably passed into the hands of death being 7- years and 9 months of age. She leaves behind to mourn her departure her husband, three sisters, Mrs. Rose Buchanan, Mrs. Milt Wilkinson, and Mrs. Frank Mason seven children, Mrs. Will Wilkinson, and Mrs. Levi Thomas; Mrs. Stella Fyffe; Mrs. Clifford Jackson; Walter; Everett and Helen at home; 11 grandchildren and hosts of friends. We feel that it can be truthfully said of her that her departure from this life is her assured gain, as she lived to exalt her Lord and Savior, in doing the many acts of love and kindnesses for those she met and was associated with. Thus another life comes to an end. We are brought face to face with the fact that all earthly things have an end and it behooves us to get ready for the inevitable for we know not the hour that the Son of Man cometh, therefore we should keep the faith that we may receive the crown of life. The funeral services were conducted at the home, 203 High Street Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Ora McDaniel, pastor of the church at Young's Chapel. Interment at Oak Hill, flower bearers were: Hester Pointer; Dorothy Buchanan; Dorothy Beeson; Eloise Fyffe; Hazel Mason and Edith Jackson. Pall bearers were: Burel Mason; Theron Beeson; Mason Fyffe; Will Wilkinson; Levi Thomas and Clifford Jackson.
